Protein Systems Consulting

Where Deep Science
Meets Operational Reality

"Every pound has unrealized value. The system just hasn't captured it yet."

FH Services, LLC brings Ph.D.-level protein science to the problems that matter most: product development, ingredient optimization, by-product program design, food safety systems, and retail channel execution. We work across human edible, further processing, and pet food categories, from the plant floor to the buyer's office.

Who We Are

Protein Systems Expertise,
Built From the Floor Up

FH Services, LLC is a specialized consulting practice led by Josh Hasty, Ph.D., a protein industry veteran whose career spans Cargill, Blue Buffalo, and Tyson Foods. The firm brings executive-level science and operational experience to clients across human edible, further processing, ingredient, and pet food categories.

Our work is grounded in real industry relationships and hard-won category knowledge. Whether the challenge is new product development, ingredient system optimization, by-product program design, food safety infrastructure, or positioning a product for a major retail buyer, we bring the same depth of scientific rigor and commercial pragmatism to every engagement.

FH Services has worked with and understands the requirements of the industry's most demanding customers, including Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, and McDonald's. We know what those buyers expect, and we help clients get there.

Our Approach

01

Operational Grounding

Every recommendation is evaluated against your real facility constraints, equipment, and workforce, not a generic industry template.

02

Phased Implementation

Programs are structured in Crawl, Walk, and Run phases so capital risk is managed and each stage validates the next before commitment escalates.

03

Revenue-First Lens

We measure success in margin recovered, cost eliminated, and revenue added. By-product optimization is a financial discipline, not a sustainability exercise.

04

Regulatory Competence

USDA, FSIS, and state-level regulatory frameworks are integrated into our assessments from day one, not addressed as an afterthought at implementation.
